About presentation folders
Materials
Every folder is 14pt card, gloss coated on both sides, finished one of five ways. Semi-gloss 14pt has a gloss aqueous coat on both sides, a low sheen. Matte 14pt has a matte coat with no shine. Gloss UV 14pt has a high-gloss UV coat on both sides, and Gloss UV outside 14pt on the outside alone. Matte laminated outside, 14pt, has a matte film laminated over the outside. Gloss 14pt with foil carries gold or silver metallic foil on the outside, on the parts you mark for it, priced by how much of the outside it covers: up to a quarter, up to 40% or up to three quarters. Each is printed in full colour on the outside, or on the inside as well.
Sizes
The size is the folder closed. 9 x 12 in holds letter-size sheets and 9 x 14.5 in legal-size sheets, each with 3 or 4 inch pockets; 6 x 9 in holds half-letter sheets, and 5.25 x 10.5 in rack cards and letters folded in three, both with 3 inch pockets. Every folder has two pockets inside, and a 9 x 12 folder can have the right pocket alone. A business card slips into two slits cut in a pocket: on the right pocket, the left or both. The matte laminated folders are made at 9 x 12 and 9 x 14.5, the foil folders at 9 x 12, and the 6 x 9 and 5.25 x 10.5 gloss UV folders printed and coated on the outside alone.
Your file
Design it in the editor and the print file is made for you: the folder flat, its two covers side by side and a pocket below each, with the extra edge the cut needs, a sixteenth of an inch. The editor draws the folds, the gap cut between the pockets, the card slits you chose and, on the inside, the band each pocket folds up over, and the print check tells you if any words sit on a fold, a slit or behind a pocket. The pockets are printed with the outside and fold up onto the inside, so their design is set upside down; the editor marks them so. The inside of a pocket is not printed. For foil, mark the parts that get it, and the foil goes to the printer on its own plate. To use your own artwork, upload an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG, up to 12 MB) and place it; a PDF is not taken. Before you pay, the print check also tells you if a picture is too small to print sharply, or if any words are smaller than the press can hold.
How long it takes
Printing takes 4 to 6 business days on the semi-gloss, matte and gloss UV folders, 5 to 7 business days on the matte laminated folders and 5 to 8 business days with foil: each paper says its time, and before it goes in your cart you agree to it. Delivery comes after that; the Shipping page has the times.

Questions
- What is the smallest order?
- 100 folders. Runs are 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000; the gloss UV and matte laminated folders at 9 x 12 and 9 x 14.5 in are also made in runs of 750, 1,500, 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000, and the foil folders in 100, 250 or 500.
- Which size holds a letter?
- The 9 x 12 in folder holds letter-size sheets, 8.5 x 11 in, and the 9 x 14.5 in folder legal-size sheets. Choose the 4 inch pockets for a thicker stack.
- Where does a business card go?
- In two short slits cut in a pocket, which hold the card by its corners. Choose them on the right pocket, the left or both, or leave them out.
- Can I print the inside too?
- Yes. Every folder is made printed on the outside alone or on the inside as well, and the page shows what the inside adds before you choose it. The pockets are printed with the outside.
- How long does printing take?
- 4 to 6 business days on the semi-gloss, matte and gloss UV folders, 5 to 7 business days on the matte laminated and 5 to 8 business days with foil, which you agree to before it goes in your cart. Delivery comes after that; the Shipping page has the times.
- Can I see it before it prints?
- Yes. Before it goes in the cart you see the outside and the inside as they will print and confirm them, and the editor exports a PDF of your design.
